"Alle guten Dinge sind drei" is a short film project that tells a humorous story within 4-5 minutes. It will be realized in the form of 2D, 3D and stop-motion animation. The aim of the short film is to combine different Animation techniques to tell a story. This approach was chosen, on the one hand, because the story tells of different approaches of diverse characters, on the other hand, because we all wanted to try out different animation techniques, thereby we are creating a connection between the process and story of the film.
The main character of the film is a creature from the Greek mythology, the Chimera. This hybrid creature has three heads, that of a lion, a goat, and a snake. These three heads are in constant conflict with each other and cannot agree on anything. To find a solution, they seek help from an outside person. They therefore visit a therapist. One after the other, the heads tell their version of a story that takes place in the past. The stories could not be more different and dubious. In the meantime, the heads are constantly arguing about the truth of each other’s stories.
